This week we’re rolling out VMIX Admin Console 3.3. This release sees the re-jig of a few elements in the console with performance and usability in mind.
Most changes are under the covers—pointed at back-end optimization and leaps in scalability—but you’ll likely notice a few changes in the UI too:
- Pages will load faster. Way faster! Especially those that are media heavy, like the Media Assets list and pages in the Collections area.
- Action dialogs and Collection and Genre filter dialogs have a new look and generate much faster.
- We’ve enhanced the auto-fill text suggestions that appear when you type into a field. Auto-fill suggestions are now available when you add or edit collections, genres, groups, tags and author assignments on media assets; and when you use these fields to filter your media lists. Selecting an auto-fill term from the list makes it easier to find the right collection or genre, and will encourage your admin staff to use consistent tags to classify media.
- You’ll also see a sleek new date and time picker when setting publication dates.
- And the little blue Xs you click to delete a collection, genre or tag? Those are now red. Just in case you missed ‘em before.
That’s about it! We hope our customers enjoy these enhancements. Detailed release notes will be available in the VMIX Support Center for current clients.
