Our MultiView Widget is a workhorse—it’s easy to add to a page, delivers video in multiple categories, and offers all kinds of user-engagement and viral-sharing options.

We felt it was time to treat it to a clean up. To take out under-used features, add those we needed, and give MultiView a fresh look.

The new widget debuted last week, seamlessly replacing old widgets on clients’ websites.

Updates to the MultiView Widget include:

  • Support for VMIX collections! Yes, you can now publish dynamic collections in the MultiView Widget, making it so much easier to deliver the most current, most popular media to your site automatically.
  • The underused Sort By feature has been removed and a new Search field added.
  • You can now choose the player width (400 or 600 px wide) and aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9) that best suits your needs.
  • And finally, the widget, on the whole, has been redesigned so that it is cleaner looking. User-upload and viral-sharing buttons have been simplified; title and description areas clarified. This has made space for a larger player in the widget, resulting in a better viewing experience for your web audience.
