vMix Social won't connect to vMix

If vMix Social is showing a red bar with the message "Not Running" double check the following:
 
1. Go to Settings -> Web Controller in vMix and make sure it is Enabled and the port is set to 8088
 
2. If you have set a password on Web Controller, make sure to tick the box "Allow software on this computer to access without login."
 
3. If steps 1 and 2 do not solve the problem, open a web browser and type in the following in the address bar:
 
http://127.0.0.1:8088/
 
If the vMix web controller does not appear, uninstall the software mentioned on the web site.
